Written by Matty Matthew and inspired by his younger sister, who can still often be found wearing one of her trusty hats. When Matty isn’t writing about Hattie’s next hatventure, he enjoys eating his way through the city of Chicago.
About the Illustrator
Illustrated by the very talented Cheryl Crouthamel, a professional children’s book illustrator and mom of three. She loves traditional painting and drawing (as shown in Hattie) while sharing her studio with a moody black cat.
